Nico from Runaways is my favorite Marvel magic user by a country mile. She reminds me of how I used to sometimes let AD&D players have access to spells beyond their XP level/purchase, by giving them magic weapons without the proper instruction on how to use them. The uncertainty in how Nico’s spells would play out always makes them interesting, and I particularly liked that they were one-time use castings as well. Plus, semi-goth asian teenager with a personality and loyalty to her crew that did a lot, I think, to subvert what the kids today think goth is, ie. not just a look from the Hot Topic storefronts. Anyway, fun to draw!
